very Scalabrinian Missionary Sister - MSCS - living the Scalabrinian charism, receives as her
task, a responsibility and a gift: God's love. This love is then given and shown to the migrant,
every man and woman involved in the phenomenon of human mobility, to experience through the care
of the sisters. This ministry takes its shape from its participation in the continuity of
the Congregation's founder
J.B.Scalabrini's
intuition and social-pastoral project, began with the cooperation of the co-founders,
Joseph
and Assunta Marchetti .
The Scalabrinian charism lived by the MSCS Sisters, comes as a continuation of the Bishop of
Piacenza -Italy-, J. B. Scalabrini's experience of faith and as an institutional answer,
during the period of the great migration of Italians towards the Americas at the end of the
nineteenth century. This answer continues in the spiritual heirs - the
Missionaries of St. Charles
and Missionary Sisters of
St. Charles Borromeo
and also by the
Scalabrinian Secular Missionaries
who find in J. B. Scalabrini their inspiration, and by the
Scalabrinian Lay Missionaries
, growing all over the world.
